Ranked amongst the Top 15 Creative Directors and the Top 10 Art Directors in the world by the The Directory, Ali Rez has won more than 300 international awards in his 18+ year career, including Gold Cannes Lions, Gold Clios, D&AD pencils, Gold Effie and Grand Prix at Dubai Lynx.
Rez started as a Physics undergraduate before ending up in advertising in San Francisco, where – when not involved in mountain biking accidents - he spent more than a decade working on global brands such as Adobe, 7UP, ChevronTexaco and HP.
In quest for adventure, Rez moved to the Middle East, and quickly became one of the most prolific award winners in the region, while managing global brands such as the PepsiCo portfolio, P&G, MasterCard, Lipton and Nestlé across Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Besides leading BBDO to be named Campaign Asia Agency of the Year twice in a row, and contributing to the Cannes Lions Network of the Year Award, Rez has been part of prestigious jury panels at Cannes Lions, Clios, Effies, and Spikes Asia.
Rez has lived and worked in several cities - including Beijing, San Francisco, New York, London, Lahore, and Dubai. He has lectured at Oxford University, exhibited at major museums such as Tate UK, spoken at Tedx, captained a cricket team in California, and - being a firm believer that curiosity leads to creativity - has traveled to 120 countries.
